The annual Polar Bear Plunge, an event which leaves most folks shivering just watching aficionados jumping into ice cold water, is set for today, Jan. 1, across the world. The largest event is called Plungapalooza. Sponsored by the Maryland State Police, the nearly nude body icing event is held in Maryland's Sandy Point park to raise funds for the Special Olympics.
