We spoke with Laurie Williams from
Pup 'N Iron this morning about her letter to the
President and his family, offering her professional services as Presidential Dog Trainer. We're all waiting for the response and will let you know when it happens.
Of course the
Obamas haven't chose a dog just yet, but we hear from an insider that it will be a
Portuguese Water Dog. YES you heard it here, that the next "First Dog" will be a
Portuguese Water Dog.

my favorite dog is a rat terrier.
I would like to express my feelings on a comment Obama made yesterday during the interview while at the charter school. He was asked about the family puppy and he resonded, they were holding off for a while due to the cold weather. My girls probably wouldn't like walking a puppy when it is so cold. I can't believe this was his response. Anyone that wll bash our local authorities because they call off school due to a "little ice and snow" (this was his response last week) should be able to do anything in the cold weather. I sure hope Obama realizes that no matter if it is 90 degrees or 9 degress, a puppy is going to have to be walked outside. My questions is, should the girls even have a dog if this is his way of thinking? What is going to happen next winter? I think all dog owners realize there are more important things to worry about than what the temperature is outside when it comes to walking a dog! Come on, does this mean that the dog doesn't get to go out during the winter time? What happens in the rain?
