CMA Music Fest IS ON! AndL We Have a Friend There...

One of our Facebook friends, Liz Bensman is at the CMA Music Fest in Nashville and she's determined to meet the big stars, party, and report back to us. The festival runs June 11-14th and is jam packed with ALL the big names. Here are some of the photos that Liz took, and you can see more on her FB page under her name. Soldiers with a Song...

The writers/singers of the Song, "Life of a Soldier" (below)
are Sgt. 1st Class Sean Bennett and Spc. Daniel Jens. Below is a little
more information about them...

Sgt. 1st Class Sean Bennett, a Fort Campbell soldier with the 1st
Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division is
decorated with the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Meritorious service
medals, but that is not all. Bennett is a talented singer and songwriter
with a performance on Nashville Star, an appearance on the Today Show
and openings for Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray in concert.

Spc. Daniel Jens, a Fort Hood soldier, is equally as talented in singing
and songwriting. He has performed live in DC, Texas, Wisconsin and most
notably placed 11th nationally on NBC's America's Got (CLICK HERE TO SEE) Talent and
recently at the City of Harker Heights Stars and Stripes concert.

Geoff Moore Graduates from the FBI Citizens Academy!

He made it, and all without shooting anyone - thank goodness!
Geoff says "I'm honored to have had the opportunity to have attended the academy and to have met the truly talented, and amazing individuals that the FBI has chose as employees. I just want to thank Donna Jackson, Kurt Crawford, Brian Lamkin, Tom Lintner, Carl Benoit, Steve Moore, Berry Ferguson, and Steven Conlon along with the other special agents that volunteered their time for us and others involved. We the people, are truly lucky to have such an amazing group of individuals guarding and enforcing the laws of our great country."

Rub a Dub...

Jessica finished the Marine Half Marathon in 2 hours 8 minutes - Geoff finished in 2 hours 56 minutes.

• Jessica trained, Geoff didn't.
• Jessica has no side effects from the race, Geoff is limping, whining, and complaining...no surprise.
• Jessica brought in a massage therapist, Geoff gave Jessica a paper clip.

Jessica felt bad for Geoff so as a "congratulations" she had Linda from Massage Matters come and fix Geoff up (Jess probably did it so he wouldn't try to go home early and so she wouldn't have to listen to him whine).
Linda came into the studios and worked on Geoff so he could be able to stand w/o his crutches (not prescribed by his Doctor, he borrowed them). She did some deep tissue and geriatric massage on him and he was walking in no time.

Arie's mind ran wild with where it could have come from...was it a payment from a mob hit?...a bank heist?...a ferry godfather (Tim Gunn)? No, it was from a woman who had a terrible house fire in the neighborhood. She had thought that everything had burned in the fire and all was lost. The debris were taken to the dump, but lucky for her, one fell of the truck across the street from a very honest kid.

According to WWD fashion magazine, the average couple spends about $1,300 on prom. The cost for girls, who start looking for dresses 11 weeks before the dance, includes: DRESS: $200 to $300 ACCESSORIES: $50 to $200 HAIR: $30 to $75 MAKEUP: $30 to $75 NAILS: $10 to $50 and there could be more.

This morning we talked to Tracey Watkins of Princess Closet. Tracey and Stephanie Drummond are among five women who decided to get together for a cause and started asking friends to clean out their closets and donate formal wear. They then set up a time for those less fortunate to come and pick out what they need for prom FOR FREE. Shoes, handbags, accessories, all for free.
They wanted to help out because they know the economy is down, but kids proms shouldn't be.
